Psalms 108:13 NLT
With God’s help we will do mighty things, for He will trample down our foes.
TRUTH
How often my prayers focus on me and my problems instead of focusing on the glory and power of God, creator of the heavens and the earth. How often I settle for asking God to give me strength to get through a challenge in my life – instead of asking Him for victory to be present and visible in my life.
You see, our Father God is not some weak genie in a bottle that is limited to granting us a few wishes. No, it isn’t about wishes at all. If we are treating God like a genie, asking Him to grant us this and grant us that – we may have missed out on the beauty of prayer.
HOPE
You see, prayer is our life line with our creator God. It is meant to draw us closer to His will, not ask Him to change His will to fit ours. And the beauty of it is that He knows better than we do what we need and what we should pray for. So He offers us this gift of the Holy Spirit to help us.
If we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, if we believe and confess and repent, we will receive Christ into our lives, to live in us and through us. So prayer is more about the hope and promise that I have in Christ who lives in me and guides me, and less about me convincing God to fulfill my wishes.
FAITH
And this walk of Faith is about learning to hear His voice more clearly. It is about learning to discern and examine things so that I see more clearly what is His will. It is about learning this narrow path and walking it. You see, as we grow in faith, we are healed and our eyes and ears and bodies are renewed to be used for His purpose, for His glory, and for His honor.
Yes, it is more about Him and less about me. He becomes greater in my life and I become less. This is the picture of growing in Christ. This is what it feels like to be molded in the hands of our creator into a new creation, becoming the righteousness of God.
LOVE
And each of us has a walk that is ours. We are each in our own state of grace (or lack of grace), and each of us has at any one time the amount of faith that we are given to help us realize the victory.
If we haven’t yet realized that the victory is won and His work is done, we are missing out on the victory and the celebration and the opportunity we have to encourage, love, forgive, equip, and serve others for His glory and honor.
So let’s don’t be satisfied with only seeing a short distance through clouded and veiled eyes. Let’s don’t be satisfied hearing Him from a distance. Let’s don’t be satisfied sitting idly in a fruitless and faithless and disobedient life.
Let’s draw close to the Lord, let’s see the healing in our lives, and let’s live the victory today!
The battle is won!
The victory is His!
See past the veil of this temporary, physical world and know the spiritual and eternal truth – He loves us, He saves us, He heals us, and He restores us.
And the battle is already won for you friend!
Get out there and celebrate with your life today!
DO MIGHTY THINGS!

Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted with evil, and he himself tempts no one. But each person is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desire.

With God we shall do valiantly; it is he who will tread down our foes.
