I talk too much to say so little

I talk too much to say so little.

When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but whoever restrains his lips is prudent.  The tongue of the righteous is choice silver; the heart of the wicked is of little worth.

Volume does not equal quality or wisdom.

Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.

I need to listen.

Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;

Sometimes I act very foolish.

A fool takes no pleasure in understanding, but only in expressing his opinion.

I’m in trouble.

Whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.

I’m really in trouble.

Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

Lord,  help me.

Set a guard, O Lord , over my mouth; keep watch over the door of my lips!

I hear you,  Lord. Help me.

If you have been foolish, exalting yourself, or if you have been devising evil, put your hand on your mouth.
