But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do.

Faith in God alone.
What gets you through the day?
What would you not be willing to “put down” or “do without”?
If you think over your day and the answer to those questions is some type of entertainment, hobby, drug, activity, etc. — if it is not your dedicated time and relationship and trust in God, it is time to repent and surrender fully to God.
Do you want stability?
Seek what you can lay down today.
Seek how you can draw closer to the Lord intentionally and purposefully.
