Psalms 68:34-35 GW
Acknowledge the power of God. His majesty is over Israel, and his power is in the skies. God, the God of Israel, is awe-inspiring in his holy place. He gives strength and power to his people. Thanks be to God!
PERSONAL COMMENTARY
———————————————
How often do we acknowledge the power of God each day? Do we encounter our struggles and trials and quickly forget His power?
Yes, His power is evident and amazing when we examine the beauty of His creation all around us. We look at the skies as His splendid canvas and see his ever changing artwork.
But do we stand back from Him, not realizing that we are His splendid creation as well? Yes, it is hard to see the creator in ourselves when we are in the chains of our guilt and shame – when the enemy wants us to remember our sinful nature instead of Christ’s glorious sacrifice at the Cross.
We aren’t meant to stand back, far away from God. He calls us, He draws us near. And this is so that we will know His love, His mercy, His forgiveness – and yes, His power.
Faith and belief is acknowledging His power and His authority in our lives. And it is this belief, this faith, that gives us the strength and power that we need to see Him defeat the enemies and overcome the challenges and temptations and trials in our life. And it is that same power that works through us to share this Good News with the world around us.
Who doesn’t want to receive more power and strength from God for their lives? So we acknowledge Him – not just hiding in our private prayers – not just screaming His Word from the rooftops – but by confessing, surrendering, believing, and following in a renewed life of action, not just empty words.
Let our lives today be an honor and glory to you, Lord – an acknowledgement of your power and faithfulness towards your children.
Grumbling is powerless, but our rejoicing and praising God is inhabited by the presence and the power of God. Let’s see His power manifest through our lives today, friends.
Be the Christ that is in you. Acknowledge Him in your life, Know His power, remember His mercy and forgiveness and love – to first love us, even when we were lost in our sin, hopeless against our many enemies – but rescued and redeemed by the one true God, fully revealed in His life on this earth as Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.
If you know Him, you have power, friend – the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you if you have received this baptism of the Holy Spirit that free you in a born again life. Let’s remember that power, and live or lives in remembrance of the life that He lived – as the truth, the life, and the way.
Go, and be the Christ in YOU today.
