Have you found your nest egg, or is it waiting for you?

PSA 84:2-4 ESV
My soul longs, yes, faints for the courts of the Lord ; my heart and flesh sing for joy to the living God.
Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.
Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise!
Selah

Will our dog or cat “out praise” us?

Psalm 150:6 AMP
Let everything that has breath and every breath of life praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)

Revelation 5:13 ESV
And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

Little Eyes and Little Hearts Watch Us Each Day

Psalms 78:4-8 NLT
We will not hide these truths from our children; we will tell the next generation about the glorious deeds of the lord , about his power and his mighty wonders. For he issued his laws to Jacob; he gave his instructions to Israel. He commanded our ancestors to teach them to their children, so the next generation might know them— even the children not yet born— and they in turn will teach their own children. So each generation should set its hope anew on God, not forgetting his glorious miracles and obeying his commands. Then they will not be like their ancestors— stubborn, rebellious, and unfaithful, refusing to give their hearts to God.

Walk it out

If you, O Lord , should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand?  But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared.

Bullets and bombs can be loving discipline

PSA 77:11-15 ESV
I will remember the deeds of the Lord ; yes, I will remember your wonders of old.  I will ponder all your work, and meditate on your mighty deeds.  Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God?  You are the God who works wonders; you have made known your might among the peoples.  You with your arm redeemed your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph. Selah

So who is really weak and needy?

PSA 72:12-14 ESV
For he delivers the needy when he calls, the poor and him who has no helper.  He has pity on the weak and the needy, and saves the lives of the needy.  From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.

Who do I trust?

Psalms 69:29-33 NLT
I am suffering and in pain.
Rescue me, O God, by your saving power.
Then I will praise God’s name with singing,
and I will honor him with thanksgiving.
For this will please the lord more than sacrificing cattle,
more than presenting a bull with its horns and hooves.
The humble will see their God at work and be glad.
Let all who seek God’s help be encouraged.
For the lord hears the cries of the needy;
he does not despise his imprisoned people.

Letter & Death -OR- Spirit & Life

2 Corinthians 3:4-6 ESV
Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

We aren’t powerless
